An empty
calendar means you are out of business. Once you work through
your list of family and friends, how to you keep getting fresh
new leads? Here are 10 super ideas sure to get new bookings
for your direct selling business.
1.
Warm chatter everywhere you go. Bring business
cards and samples with you and hand them out as you run
your daily errands. Complement someone and then say, “I
have a little gift for you,” as you pull it out of
your purse. Then get their contact information to follow
up and see how they liked it.
2.
Give business cards to your customers and have them hand
it out their friends. Give them a 10% discount
on their next purchase if 1 person calls you, 20% if 2 people
call you.
3.
Facial Boxes - Put a fish bowl in a local restaurant,
health club, or beauty salon - wherever your potential clients
gather. Hold a monthly drawing for a free gift basket and
a gift certificate to the store too!
4.
Real estate agents - See if you
can contribute a gift to the package that real estate agents
hand out to their new home buying customers
5.
Network - Join clubs, organizations, chamber of
commerce, networking groups. The more people you know, the
more relationships you build. It’s an easy way to
get yourself known and build rapport for potential client
and recruiting relationships.
6.
Wedding, Birth and Promotion Announcements - Scan
the local paper for announcements of weddings, births, and
job promotions and call the people to congratulate them
and offer them a free gift from your product line.
7.
Door Prizes - Donate a gift basket of your product
as a door prize for local groups and organizations.
8.
Biggest Guest List Booking Game - Have each guest
at your party write a list to see who can come up with the
biggest list of friends, family, and guests. The one with
the biggest list wins a prize. Now they have a ready to
go guest list with they sign up as a hostess.
9.
Book to Look - Have several envelopes with pictures
of various prizes from your product line. They have to promise
to book a class in order to choose an envelope with a mystery
prize.
10.
Expos and Tradeshows - Setup a booth with a free
drawing and hand out samples with a booth at a tradeshow
