Your Bathrobe Entrepreneurs... Webmomz.com
is hosting the 7th Annual Doing Business in Your Bathrobe Day
is coming up on Monday, February 8, 2010. Bathrobes aren’t
just for lounging around anymore. In fact, they’ve become
the emblem of freedom for a growing class of entrepreneurs—work-from-home
moms. These determined professionals have shrugged off their tailored
suits and heels in search of a comfortable work/life balance.

About
the Holiday: Doing Business in Your Bathrobe Day is special
day to celebrate the freedom and innovation of mom entrepreneurs.
It is observed on the second Monday of February every year. The holiday started in February of 2003 as a fun way to get publicity
for our event and my home business book, I Love My Life: A Mom's
Guide to Working from Home. It was a huge hit with the media.
Not only for us, but also for women entrepreneurs all across the
US. Last year the holiday went international. Now entrepreneurs
in the US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and Ireland are participating
in this event! (See media
coverage about this event.)

Quotes:
"We
hope the holiday will give mom entrepreneurs the recognition
they deserve for their hard work in building a business for
themselves while being "mom" to their kids."
Kristie Tamsevicius
"The
holiday has really caught on. Before you know it, Hallmark will
be making "Doing Business in Your Bathrobe cards."
Kristie Tamsevicius
"In
today's society we have so many options, and for those of us
with the spirit to make our own way doing business in our bathrobes
is a normal day in the office! Don't be stifled by the constraints
of a job or a life that doesn't celebrate you! Fuzzy slippers
are the new pumps!"
Marie Hale, Executive Managing Director, eWomenNetwork
"It's
no longer a lifestyle just for women," says
Tamsevicius. "Working at home is an adjustment
and anyone who undertakes it needs a support system."
“It’s
a national day to support entrepreneurs everywhere who are taking
their work and paychecks into their own hands,” says
Kristie Tamsevicius, co-founder of WebMomz.com
”Working
from home is a popular option today because of the freedom it
affords,” explains Michelle Floyd, WebMomz
co-founder. “You get to schedule your work
around your life. You choose your own career path, work hours,
and rates. You don’t have to compete with anyone but yourself.
You have the flexibility to create a life you love.”
