This is so cool, I just found out the my local church, Joy Lutheran, is podcasting now! If you go to the Joy Lutheran website and click on the Joycast red button, you can hear the sermons.

When I see stuff like that, it takes me breath away. People using their gifts and technology to expand the outreach of life-changing messages.

To me, that’s what the net is about. Isn’t it cool how it helps us to touch one another and make a difference? Anyway, I just thought I’d share.

I’m sure your library is probably as crazy as mine. But sometimes I think I have so many awesome resources, that I forget what I have. Someone once said that the only thing that will be different 10 years from now is the books you read, the people you meet, and the experiences you have.

I have more the enough books that I’ve read - that’s for sure. My goal for next year is to IMPLEMENT what I have read. No more learning (which will be hard - I love learning)

Well, here are the books I have in my library. I have read 80% of them. The others, need to sit down and read.

Is your library as big as this? - And there are LOTS of ebooks and books in the basement haven’t even accounted for here.

What sets your soul on fire? That’s a question that Life Coach Kammie asks. She is a super hip coach whose work is around finding when your passion meets your purpose? If you ever ponder things like what is the meaning of life, why am I here, what’s my purpose, you’ll find wonderful insights on her blog.

In a recent post entitled, “Angels, Inspiriation, and Potty Jokes” she talks about the negative mojo around the recent terrorist attempts, and tells a funny potty story from another mom friend.

Affirmations are a cool form of self talk where you say a phrase of what you want to embrace, be, do, have in your life.

For instance, if you wanted to be better at managing money, you might say, “I am getting better at managing money everyday.”

Or if you wanted bigger business success, you might say, “I am a brilliant and savy business person and I have everything it takes to build myself a $100,000 business right now.”

Or to embrace your wisdom, you might say, “I am a genius and I use my wisdom daily”

Well I came across a really cool product called Affirmawraps that actually let’s you wrap yourself in affirmations. It’s an affirmation blanket. I got one in the mail. It’s wonderfully soft and warm fleece wrap that’s definately become the favorite blankets at my house. You can get affirmation blankets for a variety of things including love, serentiy, creativity, motherhood, abundance, wholeness, joy, and gratitude. There are even little pink and blue baby blankets.

It’s a great thing to get for yourself as a constant reminder of what you are striving for in life. And it would be an excellent uplifting gift for anyone. I got one as a birthday gift from Lora Canary of Everyday Oasis (an awesome relaxation expert! - check out her free relaxation goodies here)

Now tell the truth, most of us entreprenuers work too hard and tend to be a little skimpy when it comes to self care. Jennifer Louden, has a super podcast, “LoudenClear ComfortCast” that I just love!

If you don’t know Jennifer, she is known as “The Comfort Queen“. She has written a ton of awesome books on pampering ourselves including: Comfort Secrets for Busy Women, The Woman’s Comfort Book, The Couple’s Comfort Book, The Pregnant Woman’s Comfort Book, and The Woman’s Retreat Book.

Her podcast guests are truly some of the most creative and inspiring minds of our time. And she gets up close and personal with them as they share their secrets about self care, personal growth, and being stress free.

A couple of her recent shows covered things like how positive self help can change your life.

What inpires you?

I am really starting to experience the power of visualizing your success. One of the things I did that really inspires me everyday is I have a poster I made for myself that represents what financial freedom, wealth, and success means to me. I also have a $1 bill that I converted into a $100,000 bill. My goal is to make $100,000 between now and the end of the year.

This is posted right on the wall in front of me so I can see it while I’m working. Every morning I spend a few minutes “going inside the picture”. I imagine it’s me. I am free. I can spend my time and energy the way I want to helping others because I have no debt.

From the time I was a little kid, Helen Keller has always been one of my heroes. She had every disadvantage in life and chose to move past it. And when I think of how Helen was able as a blind and deaf person to do incredible things, it inspires me.

Here is one of my favorite quotes from Helen Keller. It reminds me that even if there is one small thing that you can do, that one thing could really change the world. Kind of a cooler version of the Starfish story I guess.
