From Chaos to a Fabulous Kick Butt Day - Power of positive thinking 6
I was having a heck of a morning. I had a slight tiff with my a friend, was worried about spending $1000 on tires so the car was safe to drive 5 hours to my Grandfather’s funeral in the morning, and then to top it off I spilled my Starbucks sugar free vanilla latte I JUST bought all over in the car. ARGH!
It seems like I was a bad luck magnet that morning. I was getting knots in my stomach. My nerves were on end, my head was spinning, I was even shaking.
And so I decided to change my perspective. So I stopped what I was doing and wrote in my gratitude journal.
Here is what I wrote:

My Freaking Awesome Life
Some days you have to look harder then others, but there is always something to be thankful for.
Thank God for my amazing, loving kids. They keep me going daily and are a never ending source of love.
Thank God for my friends who are teaching me how to stay calm in the face of extreme stress.
I am thankful my brother who is coming with for the drive to Iowa to Grandpa’s funeral tomorrow morning. It will be very comforting.
I am thankful I will get to see my family this weekend. I miss my dad and Grandma tremendously.
I am thankful I was able to get new tires so the kids and I will be safe.
I am thankful my clients were understanding when I had to take time off to tend to filing paperwork for my car refinancing.
I am thankful that my friend and I made up after our argument.
I am thankful I have food, a place to stay, and enough money to take care of my kids.
I am thankful the sun is shining today.
And most of all I am thankful that tomorrow is another day.
=================
Guess what. I have had nothing but BLESSINGS from then on the rest of the day.
There is TRUE power in changing your stinkin’ thinkin’!
Changing your thinking and change your LIFE.
Here’s to the power of gratitude and picturing the PERFECT day!
