Someone posted a comment (that I deleted) saying how can you have read a book that hasn't even come out yet. What he doesn't know is that as a book reviewer, I often get copies of many of the latest business books a month or so before they are for sale in the public. And most of the time these books are even autographed personally by the author.

I get these because the authors value my opinion on their books and know that if I like it, I will spread the word about it.

I do NOT promote every book I get. In fact some just get donated straight to the library. I only promote quality books I believe in.

Anyway, I hope that fellow who posted the comments to my blog realizes that maybe you should think before practically calling someone a liar because you don't think they possibly could have read a book that didn't come out yet.

Great Blog Kristie! I have read John's book, and though I don't own a business, I do own a website that I am able to apply many of the fundamentals John refers to in his book to my business.

You are right - we do too often get caught up in en vogue marketing methods, but almost everytime we end up going back to the basics.

Continued success!
