Finding Dead Web Pages

Wayback MachineWhat if I told you there is a super sneaky sleuth tool that would let you see archives of old, dead websites, would you want to know what it is? Archive.org is a must bookmark page.

Here’s why it’s useful to us the Wayback Machine to see old versions of web pages.

1) You accidently overwrote a page on your site and totally screwed it up and need an emergency copy
2) You go to a web page and notice it’s “gone” and need to find the contact person for the person who made it
3) You are a web developer and want before/after screenshots of your clients websites
4) You want to look at old versions of your competitor’s webpages to see what marketing changes they have made over the months and years and why.
5) You want to look up an embarrasingly old and funny version of your colleagues web pages to make fun of them because they weren’t cool back then.

As you can see, there are endless uses to the joys of the Wayback Machine.
