Fun, Friends, Freedom, Faith, and Financial Abundance

I don’t know about you, but as a mother, I tend to put everyone else’s needs first. And I certainly do that in my business. I feel so driven to give, share, and make a difference, that sometimes I drive myself past the point of exhaustion. Ask my mom masterminds friends. I had to take all of last week off just to get my head clear and recoop. And I really had my full power and strength for about a month now. So I was seriously overdue for “fill me up” activities.

So I have made a vow to add more joy in my life (that is non work related). And I share this with you because I am sure many of you struggle with the same thing. Also, I hope that by committing to you all, you will hold me accountable. The more we as women do to fill our own cup, the more we have to give. So I owe it to everyone in my life to enjoy life a bit and stop working so hard (even though I love my work!)

Fun - I am going to find something creative I can do. I am going to check out painting classes, cooking, or sculpting. I am going to check out at the local college and see if they have anything like this I can take.

Friends - I am going to commit to one friend lunch a month. There’s nothing like girlfriend time to renew your soul.

Faith - I am going to join a bible study group. I don’t make enough personal time alone with God. Sure I pray and try to be a good servant, but I don’t make time to study scripture and deepen my faith walk like I should.

Financial Abundance - I am going to start tithing again. With God as my business partner, I know I can do amazing things. I will start being grateful for the money I have. And by starting from a place of gratitude and giving without expectation, I know that I will have more abundance. I am finally started to get okay with the idea that it’s okay to have money. Having money gives you more resources to do more good things in the world.

What are you doing to live life more fully? What are your personal commitments to create more abundance in your life? I’ll keep you updated and let you know how my plan is going okay?

Although i don’t believe in the i have made the same covenant vow as Jacob did before Moses required the tithe under that law. Tithing is not easy in my position- being self employed, and not knowing what is around the corner. But i have to say that God honored Jacob’s covenant, and i know he’ll honor yours and mine.
