Keeping Affiliate Links Organized

When you are a hard core online marketer, keeping those pesky affiliate links organized can be quite a task. One more recently wrote saying that she wanted to do more affiliate marketing and was asking what the best way is to keep your affiliate codes organized.

Here’s my super easy affiliate organizing system:

Create a new folder in outlook called Affiliate Programs.
Then everytime you get a welcome letter after signing up for an affiliate program, save it into this folder. Edit the subject line so it says AFFILIATE NAME - affiliate program. The affiliate name of course is the name of the company whose affiliate program that is. That allows you to find it really quickly thru a search in outlook. It also alphabetizes all your affiliate welcome letters/codes in Outlook.

The other think I do is create a “short link” right away.
For instance, let’s say that for one affiliate program called The Whiz, I have a short link page that is
http://www.webmomz.com/thewiz.htm
Then anytime I promote it, I just get my short link that I made which of course links to the full affiliate code.

That’s my super simple system. Do you have any affiliate system organizing tricks?
