Make Mine a Million – Office Depot
Posted on March 20, 2007 | 5 comments | Filed in UncategorizedI just finished watching a session for Make Mine a Million Dollar Business. Wow! It was so inspiring to hear stories of women just like us. Count me in is a non for profit organization that provides insight and resources for women with big dreams.
On the panel we got to hear from incredible women whose businesses were growing, but didn’t know how to take it to the next level.
By being a part of the Make Mine a Million program, these women were able to overcome their challenges, create the infrastructure, and secure the funding to create million dollar success stories.
The 2 biggest factors that hold women back are:
1) Trying to do it all yourself
2) Not borrowing any money
The 5 keys to growing your business are:
- Vision
- Growth
- Continuous Improvement
- People
- Business Development
Are you ready to make yours a million dollar business? The question I find myself asking is what success is really about for me. Is success about the size of your paycheck, is it about being your personal best, is it about the contribution you make, or is is about having a career that supports the life you truly desire.
I think that’s the biggest question we need to ask ourselves.
More from the Office Depot event after this.

Thanks for blogging from the conference Kristie! Your notes certainly gave me something to think about – especially the part about figuring out what success means for you.
I haven’t borrowed any money – but sometimes I wish I could! LOL! It’s just so scary to think of going into debt.
I had to laugh at the first reason women get in their own way. Doing it all
I had to learn this lesson the hard way – I will NEVER learn HTML
