When your not “in the mood” for work – what do YOU do?
Posted on December 13, 2006 | 4 comments | Filed in UncategorizedThis morning I woke up and it’s kind of overcast and dreary. For no apparent reason I felt a little sad and unmotivated. So what do you do to get in the “mood” for business? Just as you’d make a candlelight dinner and put on soft music for a romantic date, you can create mood and inspiration for your work at home day just by a few changes in your environment.
Here’s what I did:
- put my Itunes on a great soft Christian hits station I like
- cleaned my office
- wrote my to do list
- lit a candle
- made a cup of my favorite Tazo Zen tea
And know what? I feel 100% better and more focused.
What do you do to get “in the mood” for business?

Looking at my todo list or chatting with one of my partners usually helps me get going. Well, that and a cup of coffee and something rich and chocolatey…LOL
[...] Apparently, my friend Kristi T. has had this problem before as well, because she blogged about it this morning. [...]
LOL! Kristie I often to the same things! Crank up a favorite worship CD and clean my office. Then when everything is tip top ship shape, I prioritize projects.
I always think better and are more inclined to work when my workspace is in order.
If I REALLY don’t want to work – I go watch Food Television LOL!
