Why I REALLY Don’t Need to Buy Another Marketing Book…
Posted on November 1, 2006 | 9 comments | Filed in UncategorizedI’m sure your library is probably as crazy as mine. But sometimes I think I have so many awesome resources, that I forget what I have. Someone once said that the only thing that will be different 10 years from now is the books you read, the people you meet, and the experiences you have.
I have more the enough books that I’ve read – that’s for sure. My goal for next year is to IMPLEMENT what I have read. No more learning (which will be hard – I love learning)
Well, here are the books I have in my library. I have read 80% of them. The others, need to sit down and read.
Is your library as big as this? – And there are LOTS of ebooks and books in the basement haven’t even accounted for here.

Wow! That is QUITE a collection! Maybe you could pick the top 10 and eBay the rest
When I read a book I like to highlight the most important things that I want to “take home” then write that down or type it into a document on my computer. I would have to buy a bigger house if I kept every book I read.
That’s quite a list. I’m impressed that you are organized enough to make a list. I can’t even seem to get my books gathered in the same location. Thanks for sharing what you’re reading – I picked up some great titles to check out.
I tend to read them and give them away, unless it’s the kind of book that’s easy to pick up and read a page here and there. But I do miss my old “friends.”
Sandy
Wow! Guess the wishlist item bigger bookcase is something I need to invest in. I’m nowhere near that many, but I can see myself getting there with the resources I’ve been buying up lately.
btw…I think you forgot one: I Love My Life!
That is huge ma lady. I like Carrie’s idea a lot. I don’t have any books for growing my business, but I have a fair amount of info products. I’m a learning snob – takes a lot for me to buy a book or info product.
holy moly Kristie, that’s some collection !! I love books, “real books” but it’s been ages since I’ve actually bought one, I do use the library a lot but generally for escapism type of books. Carrie’s idea is good, but if you’re like me (I hate to get rid of books – anyones ) then just keep em and dip in whenever you feel like it !
Wow! That’s a great collection! I would have to disagree with the comments suggesting you get rid of them however. Good books are like fine wine, they improve with age. I’ve recently been re-reading some books in my collection that I haven’t touched in a decade, and it’s amazing how fresh they seem to me! IMHO, the only reason to get rid of a good business book is to give it away to someone who can use what it teaches to build THEIR business.
You surely have a collection of many books there. I was wondering where you got those. I am collecting some myself, but i really dreamed of having those that you have. Mind to share?..

Fantastic collection! I could do with some of those.
I normally don’t get rid of books too, just in case I want to read them again. But, more often than not, I will move on to newer books. Perhaps, I should sort out my books and pass them to others.
