I just wanted to say that I think affirmations are a powerful way to improve yourself. I know it sounds a bit …hokey… to some people, but social psychology shows that this really works! It’s important to make your affirmations positive rather than negative, so for example you should say “I’m a successful person” instead of “I’m not a failure.”
Those who doubt the power of affirmations would be well served to give them a try. The upside is limitless, and that is a beautiful thing.
What I love best about Affirmagy (www.affirmagy.com) is that the company donates its products to women and children who are victims of domestic violence through an alliance with the Eastside Domestic Violence Program (www.edvp.org). The owners of Affirmagy are giving encouragement to people who need it more than words can express. It’s great to do business with companies that demonstrate an authentic commitment to helping others, especially when the spirit behind each Affirmawrap is to encourage others to welcome more of what they want most into their lives — things like abundance, love, and serenity.
My favorite Affirmawrap is about Joy. Here is what it says:
My life is filled with joy and happiness. I embrace and claim a life with endless joy…I joyfully recognize the blessings that are mine in this moment…I create more joy in the world each and every day. Ideas like these are powerful and encouraging, and the world needs more of that. We all do.
Affirmations and goal-setting have become a way of life for me! And my associaton with Affirmawraps furthers my belief that the world needs more positive input every day. As a mortgage banker, my client loan closing gift is the Abundance “Affirmawrap”. They are receiving rave reviews! “Motherhood” and the baby wraps are perfect for baby showers, and the “Love” wrap is ideal for a wedding gift.
I have believed in affirmations for many years and when Kristen introduced me to Affirmagy I was thrilled. I have sent a blanket to a wonderful friend of mine that was fighting breast cancer. She told me that she wrapped herself in that blanket every morning when she meditated and said her affirmations.
I also sent them to a client that had twin boys and she said that was the very best gift she received as she was wrapping the boys in love every day.

Affirmations really work when you believe in them. Others wise you will be wasting your time uttering words with out the conviction to believe them.
Before you get into affirmations, in my opinion, you have to make a mental commitment to follow it through and what you are affirming will have to be something you actually want to happen! This will be the difference in wishful thinking and powerful thinking!
