Make Money and Grow your Business with Teleseminars
by Kristie Tamsevicius, Webmomz.com
If you are marketing products or services online and aren't
using teleclasses then you are leaving money on the table.
Teleclasses are a powerful way to get known for what you
do and market online. It gives you the ability to sell your
product to hundreds of people while talking on the phone
from your living room chair! It's like a television infomercial,
except that you can do it from home while wearing your pajamas.
For those of you who may not be familiar with the term
teleseminar, you probably have heard it called by many names
including teleclass, virtual seminar, teleconferencing,
webinars, online training, and web conferencing. But basically
it's a class, demonstration, or interview that you offer
online over a telebridge to many attendees on the phone.
Why teleseminars work
The reason why teleclasses are such a powerful marketing
tool is that it positions you are the expert. You share
with a large audience an overview about what you do, how
it helps them, and can share stories of the results it's
helped others to achieve. It's like an infomercial that
showcases what you are selling and tells lets them get excited
about what you have to offer.
Another advantage to teleclasses is that it helps you to
build trust and connection with your audience. They get
to know you more personally and hear how you can help them.
When you build a relationship with your audience, they are
much more likely to want to go deeper and buy from you.
How to plan a teleseminar
The first step to holding a teleseminar is to decide what
your goal is. Are you doing this to build your list, to
market a product or seminar, or to boost your credibility
as an expert?
Next, you want to decide what type of teleclass you are
offering. Will people be able to attend for free or are
you charging a fee? Will it be lecture style or will you
have someone interviewing you? Is it going to be a one time
event or will it be a teleclass series? Will you turn the
teleclass into an audio product and transcripts that you
will sell online? Will it just be you speaking or will you
create a virtual seminar featuring a lineup of guests?
The best way of course to get a feel for how to host a
teleclass is to attend one yourself. There are all kinds
of free teleclasses held online.
After you get a sense of how they are conducted. You need
to set your own plan for the call. You'll want to welcome
people to the call. Then you'll want to head into your core
content. Next you'll want to have closing thoughts or ask
the audience what things they are taking away from the call.
Then you'll want to close the call with an offer, a next
step, or how they can learn more about your services.
Then the only thing left to do is market, market, market!
You can mention it on your website, your newsletter, and
your blog. Also consider if you have business associates
who might be willing to announce your teleclass to their
list.
With a little marketing, some good content, and a good
presentation on your part, you'll put together a super teleclass
that will go a long ways to market your business.
Summary
So, there you have it. I hope you’ll consider how
teleclasses can help you to earn big money and grow your
business online. Good luck with yours!
